Your health is an investment. Preventative care produces dividends in the form of a higher quality of life! I have a passion for helping individuals create and maintain a high quality of life.
I graduated as valedictorian of Wolf Point High School, going on to the pre-med program at Carroll College, earning a Bachelor of Arts in Biology. From there I went on to the University of Western States, graduating summa cum laude with my Doctorate of Chiropractic as well as a Bachelor of Science in human biology. The last year of chiropractic school, I worked to earn my Advanced Muscle Integration Technique certification under Dr. Craig Buhler, DC. I continue to learn whether it is through continuing education credits via seminars, podcasts, books, online certifications, etc. I have obtained my Precision Nutrition Level 1 and Exercise Nutrition certification as well as my USA Powerlifting Club Coach certification. I pride myself in continuing to learn so that I may better serve my patients. Most recently, I spent two years working as an associate chiropractor with Dr. Lund, DC in Scobey, MT at Lund Chiropractic.
I live in Westby, MT on a farm and ranch. I have three dogs, and I love them like children and love to watch them bird hunt. I also have three horses, which is arguably my greatest passion. I am learning to barrel race, and really appreciate the farm and ranch life that makes owning horses possible. I learned to drive the tractor to help roll rocks in the spring, and can drive the combine as well, which is much more exciting.
My dad, who was a chiropractor, brought us to small-town Montana. I grew up in Wolf Point, and always had being a chiropractor as a possibility because my dad was who I wanted to be exactly like. Fast forward, I went on to run cross-country and track at Carroll College, and was very beat up. I was chronically fatigued, daily tension headaches, and shins that I couldn't touch without tears because the pain was so bad. That's when I discovered Dr. Lund, DC and the Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT). It was an ah-ha moment. I knew I needed to do, what he did for me, for others.
Chiropractic care is the foundation of my practice. However, the spine is also a reactive organ that responds to stress elsewhere in the body. The muscular system is one of our largest organ systems playing a huge role in the body, I address the muscular system using Advanced Muscle Integration Technique (AMIT), strength training, and movement. I also use Nasal Specific Cranial Work to address the joints of the skull, most commonly for sinus-related complaints but there are many things it may benefit!
Most work injuries are caused by overuse and repetitive stress. Overtime, small tasks done with poor posture can lead to acute and chronic pain, which can result in reduced worker productivity, lost time from work, disability, and an inability to perform job tasks.
I have a passion for treating athletes, of all ages! From one to six weeks post injury, the body is in an acute, inflammatory phase, at this point it is crucial to address the injury before poor compensation patterns are built and/or chronic pain pathways are cemented. I have experience working with the upper and lower extremities such as ankles, knees, hips, and shoulders to name a couple! I will assess and treat the area, or refer out as necessary!
